Signing up to the IMR involves a different procedure for Brokers, Lloyds Managing Agents, and IUA Companies, because each uses the IMR for a different function.
Brokers use the IMR to deliver Premium Accounting documentation via the Direct Load facility, to upload additional documentation to claims present on the IMR, or to view submissions that they have made by Document Repository Interface (DRI). To use the full features of the IMR, organisations must purchase a licence and have individual users set up. To use the Direct Load facility, users must register and apply for access, but need not buy an IMR user licence. Users of the Direct Load and DRI method of submission may opt for the latter but need to be aware they will not be able to view the items loaded by means of a search facility, nor will they be able to upload or view claims documentation.
Lloyd’s carriers will use the IMR to view claim documents directly, via DFV within ECF2 or to upload documentation to claims present on the IMR. To use the full features of the IMR, carriers must set up a CLASS account and submit an IMR / ECF2 new user form with Xchanging.
IUA Companies will use the IMR to view claim documents directly, via DFV within ECF2 or to upload documentation to claims present on the IMR with which they have some involvement. To use the full features of the IMR, carriers must set up a CLASS account and submit an IMR / ECF2 new user form with Xchanging.
